Laura is an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist, and has working the the field of case management for ten years. She enjoys new challenges and always strives for the best outcome for all her clients.
Laura has a broad range of clinical experience, including four years at Headley Court Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) where she developed and delivered the lower limb OT service, which included amputeee clients and complex musculoskeletal injuries.
Laura is highly knowledgeable in the rehabilitation pathways for both upper and lower limb amputees. She ensures that she keeps up to date with the latest advances in prosthetic rehabilitation and has developed close working relationships with private prosthetic providers to maximise post-amputation function.
Laura is passionate about supporting all her clients to maximise their functional capacity and if appropriate, return to work. Her work in Vocational Rehabilitation was recognised in 2017 when she was awarded Vocational Case Manager of the Year by CMSUK.

Laura works for LMC Case Management on an Associate basis, providing bespoke and evidence based rehabilitation for a small case load of amputee clients.

DMRC Headley Court - June 2009 to May 2013
Specialist Occupational Therapist providing input to a military population. Provision of OT assessment and rehabilitation to lower limb amputees (traumatic amputation or elective surgery), many of whom had other/ multiple complex injuries. Psychological support and delivery of mood management, including anxiety, depression and anger with a cognitive behavioural therapy approach.
NHS Belfast City Hospital - December 2008 to February 2009
Senior OT on general surgery and medical wards. Facilitating safe and efficient discharge home and onward referral to appropriate services.
Louth P.C.C.C - June 2007 to November 2008
Senior OT in a residential care home. Training carers to use equipment and promoting independent living in the community.

Rotational OT post between acute medicine, orthopaedic and stroke rehabilitation wards.
